So i am going to buy a computer that will be good for games. I just don't know where to start and what hardware to buy that would get the most bang for my buck. I want to custom build it with the help of a close friend putting it together so its a lot cheaper then actually buying a pre-built computer.

Any suggestions on what specifications would be decent for not so demanding video games? (i.e League of legends, world of warcraft etc.)
I want something that can run them with no problem, i don't necessarily want them to run on ultra high graphics or anything, just enough to get along without any frustrating lag.
    Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Follow up question... do you plan on doing any OCing? Also do you need mouse, keyboard, monitor, HDD? And what kind of case are you looking to get, something subtle or something flashy with lights.

i would make a recommendation for a graphic card for a decent build...

you dont have to have GTX500 series to run LoL or WoW... i have the PNY GTX460 and i've ran wow before and i run so many other games that are more graphic intensive and the 460 just does great for my needs, in performance wise. and the card is on a cheaper side, compared to GTX500 series.

If all the gaming he would be doing is WoW and LoL I think that the GTX 460 is a good card, but the GTX 560 is a better overall card for roughly the same price.

As far as the case, mouse, keyboard and the monitor goes, i really don't want anything fancy. Just a basic piece. I also on the other hand, don't want anything bland to the point where i cant look at it. I already have the mouse taken care of
