Dead Flash Drive

    ive got a flash drive that doesnt run, doesnt show at all, as in nada. not even in disk management. wat should i do? is there a way to recover teh data?

    have you tried using a different USB port

    .. and which OS, version and Service pack do you have installed?

    I hav tried it with about 5 different usb ports, with windows xp professional with and without sp2. Simply..... nothing. not even the LEDs flash

    yeah its dead, and too small to be a good paper weight, although you could glue it to a magnet and make it into a fridge magnet

    i was thinking about it....

    is there any way to recover the data at all? can i send it to some data recoverist?

    i can't find any, there are plenty of undeleters, i think your best option is to buy another of the same size and remove the bit that stores the data with the one with your data on it, then put it back as it was (after removing your data - as the interface appears to have died, so your data is probably fine, but you cannot access the data
