im having an issue with my internet.(my internet is cable modem) is kind of hard to explain i have a certain amount of time the internet working and after awhile it doesn't work. if i unplug the modem from the eletricity and plug it back again it finds the internet again but it will work for a certain amount of time and i have to repeat process to get my internet connection again i believe the issue has to do with my router i tried calling comcast my internet company and they said i should tried disconecting modem first and see if i still had the same problem so i did what they said. and the problem of the internet seems to be on the router because the internet worked fine i was able to play online alot of time even browse the internet with no problems when i had only the modem connected to my computer so i connected back my router and im having problems i dont know if this has to do with problems of configuration of the router or if my modem could be defective after so much use or if my cable is messed up i really have no idea what it could be
reseting the router in what way? by pushing the button on the router or by resetting router to factory defaults? EDIT: i think i got another solution i got a really really nice router but im kind of scared of putting it because is a business router so far i have installed 3 types of routers a netgear and 2 linksys but they were simple ones for home use. the one i got is for business so i dont know how strict the security measures are on the router so i dont want to start putting it if it results to be a problem to be playing games online or downloading stuff through utorrent or anything like that i got a cisco 877w router from what i see on the webpage it looks really complex Cisco 870 Series Integrated Services Routers for Small Offices [Cisco 800 Series Routers] - Cisco Systems here the other link Best Buy For Business - Product Detail
