    HI,

Could someone please shed some light on the problem i have. Basically i have installed a new copy of windows xp on to a new Hard drive (SATA 150), with the old IDE hard drives still in. The probrlem occurs when i re-start the computer through windows and through the re-start button. The system doesn't manage to re-boot it self and keeps looping.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards

    Flash

Press F8 and try to go into safe mode...or Download Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool to check the RAM errors..
[ot]I m gussing that u have selected your SATA drive as a first boot device..out of both the HDD.[/ot]

if the older IDE drives have an OS on them too I guess that may pose a problem

I had the same problem before too,

ended up just disconnecting the IDE drives, letting the comp turn on with them, then shutting it down, connectin the IDE back in and bootin it up and luckily it worked

idk how, im just too lucky
