computer shutting down when i press shift

    well since yesterday my computers been shutting down everytime i press the left shift and im getting really mad at that...its driving me crazy
    could that be a virus? coz my antivirus didnt find anything
    i hope someone could help em find a solution for this...thx in advance

    Look at the event viewer....(RightClick MyComputer > Manage > Events)
    both system and applications events...
    is there any latest error reported?? if yes then double click on it and see what information do u get...

    Try another keyboard, they do wear out,,,There don't seem too last like they used too.

    A worn out keyboard won't make it reboot. You're looking at a possible infection of trojan/spyware. Scan & Delete

    Not only can a Keyboard do this BUT also a Mouse can do this,I have worked on Pc's for 10 years now and I have seen (ALMOST) everything my Friend...

    The only way I could see an old keyboard doing this is if you're somehow shorting out the system.

    Wearing out OR shorting out, it still is the KEYBOARD....
