    Hi all

Just blew up my last PSU due to inexperiance and would like to not repeat it.

Of course to use my computer I need a new PSU My current rig is:

    CPU - Intel E6600 Duo 2.4Ghz
    Mobo - Abit AW9D Max
GFX card - BFG 8800 GTS
    RAM - 4GB Geil RAM

I also run 2 hard drive 1 SATA and the other IDE and one SATA CD/DVD drive

Any recomendations for a new silent PSU would be much appriciated :D

I'm no expert, but you can have a read of Big B's PSU sticky, there's a link on my signature.

Either Corsair's HX520/620 or VX550 would be a great choice. The HX have modular cables, while the VX do not. That's the main difference. They're all very efficient. Not cheap, but, something I'd keep an eye on for my own rig.

OCZ GameXStream/FSP Epsilon (OCZ rebadges the Epsilon units) are decent, as well as the Thermaltake Toughpower line.

You're going to look in the $100-150 range for these units, but certainly worth the money.
