SAPPHIRE ati 4670 crashes with my INTEL DQ35MPE- MONTPELIER motherboard. i cant get into the bios. the problem is when i'm connecting the card to the motherboard. i have a IntelĀ® Graphics Media Accelerator 3100 onboard graphics subsystem and it's crashing with my ati card. how can i fix this problem?
Remove the card, run video from the onboard VGA. Go to bios and disable onboard video, including any slot assignments for video. Exit Bios then shut down. Turn off power to the PC from the power switch on the back of the case. Hold the power button down on the front of the case to discharge the capacitors on the motherboard. Insert your Video card, making sure that the video card is completely seated in the slot and locked down if there is a locking tab. (resembles a ram clip on some boards) Power up the PC and try to enter bios as soon as possible. If you can successfully navigate bios screens at this point then your are ready to go. If not, then it's time to check your manual for the proper voltage your Video card should be already set to. Looking at your card and motherboard I see that they are supposed to be compatible, but depending on the actual maker of your card you may have an extra electrical connector to attach before you hit that power button. If you have one its at the rear of the card opposite the DVI connector.
