Hey all I got a windows 7 virtual machine, can't seem to get networking to work correctly. First thing i do is load command prompt use ipconfig/all and then it gives me the ip of what the dhcp has assigned as well as subnet mask and default gateway and dns. I checked on my real machine the default gateway is completely different to that of the VM. So then i disabled dhcp. I then gave my VM a static ip, followed by subnet mask and then give it the default gateway of my real machine. saved the settings and now it won't work online, IE8 won't even load google. wtf? do you guys have any idea why it won't work with my real machines gateway?

Could this still be because it's still in beta?

    thanks

You need to set up the NAT in the vmware software itself - At least when using a 98se VM anyway, I think by default it is sealed sandbox stylee.
