Hi Guys I hope you can help. Firstly my pc is under warranty but I have no patience .
So here goes, I have just bought a new pc arrived on 12th January, it’s a custom build. I asked for a clean HDD as I have my own OS but the system came with windows 7 installed. I went to install my own OS, it was booting of my HDD so I changed the setting to boot of my CD-ROM. The problem is that when it boots it goes to windows recovery and won’t boot of my CD-ROM. Does anyone know how this is. I have been in touch with the manufacturer and he told me to do a Memtset and email the results, I e mailed the results, but being late Friday he never got back, and they are closed on weekends (there were no fails, and I think it is a software issue)

I hope I have gave you enough info guys to help me install my own OS.

    Cheers

Have you properly checked the BIOS settings? go to BIOS and again change the first boot drive to CDROM. After that save it properly and then reboot your system. Hope your system will not go in recovery mode.

    hello :),

this is not your CD-Rom problem or your Software Problem.

this is your OS selection problem is there.i think now you want to install OS is OLDER than WIN7.so, its not starting from CD-Rom.if your inserting latest OS CD/DVD (after win7 OS) so it will go to installation & it give permission to install this OS.

    Regards,
