Hi, I wanted an upgrade for my PC so (me being retarded with pc hardware) just bought a processor and graphics card within my budget that had good reviews, just received both tried to install but neither fit in my motherboard.

    I bought: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003Z4PB3O/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
    and http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004XANP0U/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i01

I have now: HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor with Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz and ATI Radeon HD 2400

Basically I would like to know what kind of motherboard i would have to buy to fit these 2 items on it, including my my old ones and if possible a case for it all, since i think the one im using may be a bit small? Ty in advance.

That is know as a Socket T LGA775 motherboard.. my opinion would be, do not spend any money on this machine and save your money and buy / build something newer...

Your computer is what they call a briefcase, If it was a tower it would be allot easier to work with ... The CPU will not work, and I believe that the card Will not work either. That power supply is an old ball one and in the long run you will spend twice as much money on that box.. What is it that you want to do with this computer ?
You might be able to upgrade the cpu, but you will probably will not even notice the difference... How much ram do you have ?

Your computer is a 945 Intel chipset, the CPU you bought is for a AMD, it wont work.. You will need to change everything to make it work..
You might be able to upgrade your cpu to 3.4, BUT you will not notice any difference.. If I where you, I would start fresh, And buy something you can upgrade..
You can get used computers now days for cheap..

Dude, tell me what you want and trying to do here, If you are planning on changing the MOTHERBOARD /CPU /VIDEO CARD AND POWER SUPPLY & CASE,THEN ISN'T THAT A NEW BUILD ???????? If that is the case, then you will also need Ram/memory/ hard drive and what OS do you plan on using ?

You can use the Hard dive, it is universal, The ram, depends on the new Motherboard... Dude I have built over 300 computers now, and What you want to do is start with a Motherboard and CPU with a case, as a starting point... You can use your hard drive, IF IT IS GOOD..

Well the cpu you bought is for a AMD cpu, so You would look for a motherboard that supports AMD, I think it is a AM3+, but not sure..Best thing to do is allot of research before buying anything... They make allot of AMD Motherboards, You just have to find the right one that will support that CPU and video card...Plus you will need a case, I would look at a Mid tower case...

Those two would work with your cpu, but they both have onboard video....

What does it mean if it has onboard video? Wont i be able to use my GPU? If you can find one better suited at a similar/lower price i would appreciate it ^^

Also would i need a new power supply? If so what kind?

Onboard just means that the motherboard already has onboard video built on it..yes you can still use one of these types...Well that depends on where you are at ??
I am in California USA... Where are you located ?? I mean I can look for you, But the shipping might kill you..
