Fan uuns and stop in few seconds

    Hi My System is Dual core I upgrade 80 GB Hard Disk to 260 GB Hard Disk few its works fine but now when i connect Power to Hard Disk. Processor fan run and stops it in Seconds. When i remove power of HARD DISK it runs smoothly. Please rectify my problem and give a solution

    While fan stops computer works or not? Maybe you are using some molex adapter or similar and have connected it wrong.

    No Display or System won't Run When Hdd Connects. Only if HDD Power Removes it runs smoothly. Then i connects the hdd in other system it runs

    What power supply do you have and which dual-core processor do you have?

    Intel Pentium Dual core. I don't know about Power supply. Can you suggest how to check the power Supply (My HDD is seta)

    Open case and read label sticker on PSU.

    The exact model number could help when it comes to the CPU, but I usually see Pentium Dual Core referencing the Conroe variants, which typically go at 65W. I don't think anything from Conroe on is going to be a power-hungry beast, but again, the exact model number would help if you happen to having any paperwork for it.
