lol I have some Sparkle 12MB graphics card, plan to get a Geforce 2/3 in the near future hopefully...

I dont much time yet to play games, because of all the college work I have.

anyway, I mainly play, the likes of Age Of Empires 2, Commandos etc, they dont require a 3D card :)

Sparkle...hmmm, I always thought they made power supplies.
As for college, I hear ya. That and work are a killer combo.

Recently got the Gainward Geforce 4 64MB XP Ultra 650, it performs quite well considering, my system spec is less that average!

Right now it'd probably be best to hold off since the NV30 is coming out toward the end of the year.

Unless your playing at like 1600x1200 your GF3 should last you for a while or at least until Doom 3 and UT 2003 come out :).

If yer real ansy for a faster card for cheap, the Radeon 8500LE 64MB is pretty cheap. I just bought one for $98 + shipping off Newegg. Unfortunately, they only ship inside the US, so you guys over in the UK are out of luck.

Otherwise, yes, wait for NV30 or ATi's R300--it's supposed to be introduced soon, and ATI has been doing a very good job recently with their drivers (past year or so).

Aghh Big B I'm already hurting enough from NVDA's stock slump don't need you recommending the competition :).

On the serious side though like I said the GF3 is enough for now, although knowing nvidia's past right before the R300 comes out I wouldn't be suprised if the GF4's pick up 10-25% more speed in a driver revision.

I have the Leadtek Ti 4600 and it's a great card but my old Asus v7700 deluxe GF2 can still run almost everything the GF 4 can although limited to 800x600 or 1024x768 (only thing that won't run are the few tests in 3D Mark for GF3 and above).

The R300 might be a great card however with MS not releasing DX 9 till Oct., CG, and MS & Nvidia's close working relationship I'd hold out on purchasing one until the NV30 hits. After all look how many people thought Matrox was going to wipe everyone out with the new card :).

I have a GeForce 4 TI4600 made by Abit. Very nice card. =) I upgraded from a GeForce 2 GTS DDR 64mb. Very noticeable even though my GF2 kicked ass. =)
