Hey, i am new to the forum, but i was on msn, and a friend sent me a message saying "hey, wanna check who's blocking you? go to block checker .com and you can see who's blocking you". so i went to it and downloaded it and every time i try to talk to someone that pops up all the time on my msn. And when i tried to delete the file, it says access denied, write protected or something like that. I am not htat great on computers, so could someone tell me how to get rid of this program? thanx alot

Yes so many people have this, a fix would be great but I dont think there currently is one.

Have you tried doing it from the administrator account or a regular user account? You could also try deleting the files manually but that can cause other problems so I would only try that if all else fails.

Run an virus checkers or a spyware cleaner like [google]Microsoft Antispyware[/google] and it should clean it out.

If I remember correctly, the program automatically starts up when you run windows.

Go start>>run>>msconfig>>click the start up tab.

Disable all of the services that run by default on start up, unless you need them to, for example anti virus.

Restart, and it should stop the program automaticaly running, so run MSN and see if it has fixed the problem.

That should stop the program starting and spreading, next up would be to do as addis' suggested and run some anti-spyware.

hey, thanx for your help guys, but i tried to disable it at start up by just disabling the block checker file, and it just made another one. How do i delete it manually? I have run other virus scans, not the microsoft one, and they didn't find it. And also if i download this microsoft one, i have a pirated windows xp, so will it shut it down? thanx
