we need to know some other stuff as well, system temps?
    Things that could be happening
*Windows isn't working properly and the games are failing.
*CPU/RAM/Graphics Card is overheating (although RAM is unlikely unless overclocked)
*PSU isn't sufficient enough for the system, with a high end Graphics card, CPU a couple of optical drives, maybe 2 or more HDD's and some case fans/lights a stsyem can draw some serious power. Depending on your system it may be underpowered.
    *Motherboard is faulty.
    *Virus(es)
    *Spyware/Adware
*Graphics card dan't handle the games
If you can tell us some more information about your system then we can make finding a solution a lot quicker.

Specs and temps. Without those, it's very hard to start figuring out where the problem lies. I'll buy the no spyware/virus part, but unless I see a figure, it's hard to say if what you think is okay for a temperature is really okay.

Yeah i agree B, I asked when this thread was created and without the specs we'll just end up reeling off hundreds of possibilities, it would take too long...

okay, thats a start, so you're sure the temps aren't too high, its just your thoughts on 'alright temps' might be different from what is actually acceptable.
And your power supply? It needs to have enough juice to power your computer, not all watts it needs enough amps as well...can you give us those ratings,

It sounds like my old dell when I tried to play GTA3.
    I had 128MB ram, PIII 650Mhz, and TNT riva 32 G card.

But it looks like the guys rig should be up for the job. mmmmmmmm

    Interesting....

which is why we need as much info as possible, it could still be bad RAM, insufficient PSU, Overheating, Heatsink not mounted properly, windows currupted, drivers not working...

    Hey Gadz,

    How about other applications?
Does the freezing occure while playing video? Or scanning for viruses etc?

    Weird.... :O

yeah your CPU temps are alright, what about your GPU temps? that could be causing it, your GPU isnt under stress in windows but when you play a game it starts to get hot and could be overheating...

You never provided us with your PSU details! Please do so.
Have you scanned for viruses, as there are some that cause Buffer Overflows in games!
In addition, make sure you have the latest Video Card, Sound Card and DirectX drivers installed!

Do you play all your games on highest settings?, as i find that when i put every game on highest settings, i am getting blistering performance when fps is concerned, but every now and again, everyhitng freezes and glitches, i think its down to ram, processor.
