My computer was working with FDDs A, B HDD c, CDs D, E and HDD F.

The Primary and secondary slave then ceased to appear in "my computer" and Windows Explorer.

I then started getting repeated "Imminent crash" messages from "system alert" and "Virus detected"

It then stopped working altogether, repeatadly restarting.

I did Fdisk, format and reloaded from W2000 CD

Now the setup says all six drives have been detected but HDD F does not appear in "my computer" and Windows Explorer, and I am getting repeated "Imminent crash" messages from "system alert"

Avg and Adaware say there are no virus or spyware infections.

I forgot to say that "add new hardware" says both HDDs are working.

    Can anybody help?

Check all your cable connections. but it dosen't seem to make sence if you show it in one place and not in an other. Also are both of your hard drivrs listed as a master with cds as slaves?
