    Coming tomorrow (one hopes).

Gainward 7800GS (with a 7800GT GPU) BLISS Silent 512MB AGP TVO DVI

512Mb and 20 pipelines make this the fastest AGP card ever.

I can't wait. I'm hoping it's worth the money...I've picked it up for around £250.

    The benchmarks certainly look promising.

Any one had any experience with the card?

Did you get it off OcUK? I've seen it on there, there was some strange descriptions with the other version, the name said it was a 7800GT+ but the description mentioned a 7900GS or something like that, I wondered what card it was as they looked mighty impressive! Hope it performs for ya dude! :good:

Must be upgrade season for the HWF staffers.

Being that it's the fastest AGP solution out there, it better do a good job for ya, Waffle.

Yeah if you can get something like that it can mean you can hold onto AGP for that little bit longer :good:

Heh I hope so, my 9800PRO's been one of the best investments I've made but it's starting to fail in it's old age and I decided it was time for an upgrade.

Will post some form of benchmark result when I get it...should be tomorrow if I read the ebuyer delivery information correctly.

Might have to take a sick day at college, just in case no one was home to sign for it

The cards based on the 7800GT GPU, and apparently overclocks like a dream :)

Yeah, it's a great card. You'll be able to run anything on the planet
with maximum settings. You lucky devil :good:

    It finally arrived last night.

It was worth the wait to be honest ;)

    FPS went up by a good 70 - 150.

can play everything I own on 1280x1024, maxed with all teh pretty AA and AF.

Handles HDR beautifully and is HD ready...I ordered oblivion last night so it will be interesting to see how it handles that.

    Dead chuffed.

Oblivion can make SLI/Crossfire setups cry at some resolutions...so you probably don't want to up the details as high as with other games.

That, and it's a little buggy. I'm like one of 5 people that does not have Oblivion...of course, it'd probably eat my 6600GT alive...

Congrats on the sweet card dude. That one ought to scream for some time. I honestly don't think Oblivion will be a problem. Max the details, and just keep it at 1024x768 or 1280x1024 with 2 or 4x AA and I'm sure it'll run great. Have fun with it you lucky dude.
