I scored aprox 10000 with 3DMark06 and it said in comparison of other like systems that scored 11000. Considering the specs of my computer do you guys it is a good score or if it should by better?

So I am also wondering if anyone has suggestions on how I can speed the machine up without OC'ing it?

Here is the specs: (I try to leave just useful information from msinfo and CPUz)

Thanks for the tip. I will try it out.

Does the old ATA IDE drives effect the benchmarking that much? I was concerned about using the old drives but didn't want to spend the extra $300 or so on new SATA drives cuz I have like 350gb of old drives and would hate to loose them right now. Well, frankly, I don't see the cost benefit with 4gb of RAM cuz once the loading is done it shouldn't affect apps and games all that much, right?

    THanks again.

EDIT: Read your article and disabled the pagefile but yet cannot test because I am remotely connected through work. WIll retry when I get home. Thanks

I'd also make sure to have the latest chipset and video card drivers. Those can effect something quite a bit.

i'll recommend you to overclock your proccesor i did the same with mine with superb results.

I'm using QuadCore Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 originale on 266Mhz but i have overclocked my FSB to 360.0 MHz (original: 266 MHz) OverClock: 35%

and the system is 100% stable (tested with prime95) its at the moment 3,6 Ghz it will make your system a little bit faster :cool:
