Ok, so i got some cash for crimbo which is always nice!

Before any of you shout at me, i'm not going to carry on buying more and more, I just really want to get a good quality, high performance pc that will last me (I mainly just surf, graphics, video editing atm and a few games here and there).

After receiving some unexpected cash from unexpected family I have arriving tomorrow:

    - Leadtek WinFast GeForce 6600 GT 128MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP)
    - Akasa Rounded Ultra ATA133/100/66 IDE Cable (0.45m) - Blue x2

And once i get back from holiday my other parts will have arrived:

    - Zalman CNPS7700-ALCU Ultra-Quiet CPU Cooler - Retail
    - Vantec SF8025L Stealth 80mm fan - Retail x2
    - OCZ 512MB (2x256MB) PC4400 Dual Channel Gold Series Limited Edition

So my new system (once put together) will look like this:
    Case:
    CoolerMaster Centurion 2
    PSU:
    ThermalTake 480W Silent PurePower
    Motherboard:
    Abit AV8 3RD EYE
    CPU:
    AMD64 3200+ Winchester
    Memory:
    OCZ 512MB (2x256MB) PC4400 Gold Series LE
    Graphics:
    Leadtek 6600GT 128MB DDR3
    HDD:
    Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM 8MB
    Optical:
    Sony 16x Silver DVD-ROM
    FDD:
    OcUK Silver 1.44" Floppy
    Display:
    Philips 17" 16MS + iiyama 15" 35MS Dual Monitor
    Cooling:
    Zalman CNPS7700-ALCU Ultra-Quiet CPU Cooler
    Vantec SF8025L Stealth 80mm fan x2
Akasa Rounded Ultra ATA133/100/66 IDE Cable (0.45m) - Blue x2

Like i said, it's not meant to be top performance because i realise it's not, and the HDD isn't huge, but i don't use it as i have a file server and I don't play hundreds of games, looking forward to the overclocking potential though :)

Any comments are welcome : )

I like the setup you list, it is fast, easy to cool and does not kill you for money. I dont know af anything that machine can not handle. Congradulations and enjoy it in good health. Most people that brag they have better dont, or just think they do.
side note: I dont really like western digital drives,...but thats a personal opinion.

wtf are you doing with a 6600GT?! Surely you understand that a Geforce FX 5200 would offer you better performance for only a bit extra... ;)
