AOL and Nullsoft Control

    OK...i hate aol...but i cant remove it because its my girlfriends computer and she wants it...So here is my problem: Everytime the computer boots up I get an Error message. ActiveX Control Setup: To Play the content you selected you need to restart AOL now, please save any work and click ok...when i click ok AOL loads and signs on
    how do i stop from seeing this message at every single start up???


    Its bad enough i have AOL on this laptop but to see this message every time i start up....please help

    Well AOL automatically loads on startup with most machines unless removed, so your only way of getting rid of this is to either:

    Uninstall your AOL, download and install the latest version (even if it is the same version you have) but before hand make sure you remove all folders to do with AOL.

    Goto: Start > Run *type: msconfig, goto "Startup" tab and remove any referance to AOL. Click "OK" till your out of the program, then when prompted to reboot, reboot.
