sharing a home phone and faxing rx problems I can never really get faxing to receive the calls properly when people have that telstra message bank service on their home phone line. my main problem is that in all cases the rx will take over a voice call, and not return the voice call when it knows its not a fax tone. in general terms not related to any one printer: FAX/TEL auto switch I believe that this is the proper setting to set the peoples phones lines up so the fax detects and hands back a voice call and then testra message bank takes over at the end like usual. I dont uderstand why I can never get it to hand back a call though! I'm never confident doing this with printer faxes and home phones and i have to sort of get my head around it. I know of other settings such as FAX only Manual RX Ans. machine connect. Network switch I dont need help with a particular brand. the problem is i dont understand the "handshake" process very well with message bank and its more general advice i'm looking at in regards to the rx side of faxing.
