Hello, this is urgent, so please respond quickly.
I have a computer with Windows XP and WUBI Ubuntu,
and my dad installed Windows 7 BETA, so the boot settings are screwed up.
I think Wubi screwed up the boot settings for Windows XP
so whenever I try to boot up on Windows XP
the monitor is just a black screen when I chose Windows XP.

So when I boot on Windows XP, I can pick either Windows XP or Ubuntu.
How can I get the Boot settings back to normal??????

Please answer, this is URGENT. :)

    Any help appreciated. :D

    Welcome to HWF :)

Are you able to boot into Ubuntu? If so, do the following:

    1. Browse with a text editor to the file /boot/grub/menu.lst. Copy and paste the contents of that file here (put between [ code ] [ / code ] tags).
    2. Open GParted (install with Synaptic Package Manager if required). Write down the partition information of the Windows XP partition here.

    you mean [noparse]
    Code:
    <text>
    [/noparse]
yes - if you want to fix Ubuntu / XP bootloader & include 7 with Ubuntu or which OS do you want to use the bootloader of ?

Edit: or boot Ubuntu & run
    Code:
    grub-update
to quickly fix the problem automatically

Edit: this will actually scan your HDD for all OSs & recreate /boot/grub/menu.lst
