Hey Guys, I am troubleshooting a friend's Dell Inspiron 2320 AIO touchscreen computer. The screen turns on with no problems and then an all white snowy screen appears (during POST) and the pattern changes after a while, but you are unable to read anything on the screen. The screen turns snowy after about a minute or so of being on from a cold start, so it is not like it is an overheating issue. I have already replaced the LCD. I have also replaced the inverter board and the inverter cable, which had little to no affect. I would appreciate any clues that might help me figure this out. Thanks....
Graphics card might have some issues...but, that might be big issue, as I imagine it's likely integrated in the chipset or otherwise soldered on the motherboard. Don't quote me. I don't know if there's a way to hook this up to an external display and see what you get, but I would try that if possible.
Ok, sorry for the late response. This laptop is a freaking money pit. When I connect to an external monitor I am able to see what is being displayed. I will break down what I have done so far. 1) Changed the entire LCD 2) Changed the inverter cable 3) changed the inverter board 4) Swapped the motherboard (CPU is the same) 5) Replaced the display cable. I am such at a loss. I have no idea what the problem could be. I do not see any cables touching causing the issue. I have even thought of swapping the CPU, but from looking at the specs, there is an embedded NVIDIA GPU, so I think that might be a dead end. I really really appreciate any guesses to what this can be. Thanks
