    Hi,

I have recently switched ISPs from Virgin to BT.com. I'm currently using BT's Yahoo email, which is of course, web-based.

I have tried to get Thunderbird (my favourite), Eudora and Opera to work with my BT Yahoo email, as I would like a client that I can work with offline. None of the foregoing programs will work and I can't understand why. Contacted BT and they just told me to use their server settings: 'mail.btinternet.com' for both outgoing and incoming mail, but they don't work at all. Any ideas on this one folks? BT did not have a further answer. Many thanks in advance.

    David.

You might need to configure authentication settings like your username and password for incoming and outgoing email, before you're able to use it.

Did you setup the SSL as well ? I am using windows 7 and Thunderbird, BUT you have to use Thunderbird V.2.0.0.24 .... There is a problem with v.3...
