Ok so here's the problem I'm having, my front audio jacks don't want to work at all, and my rear audio jacks arent color coded correctly, for example my headset is plugged into the speaker jack while my speakers are pluuged into the mic jack. Also I can't seem to get the headphones working on my headset no matter what jack I plug it into and I know they work on other computers. I'm running a MSI Plat 790 FX motherboard with Windows Vista SP1. Everything appears to be plugged in properly but im still having problems.

    Hey, welcom to HWF.

Can you just clarify - is this a self built rig? If so, have you consulted the motherboards audio set-up instructions? different motherboards use different configurations to allow or restrict front and rear audio. Perhaps you wired the front audio incorrectly?
