Hardrive Problems

    bloody hell, I was just about to buy a Maxtor Diamond too, maybe I willgo for the western digital afterall!

    Unless you've got the same motherboard or chipset, switching the motherboard under any version of Windows causes it to spazz out. If the hard drive works fine under your bro's PC, take it over there, copy over what you want backed up, wipe the disk, format and partition it as needed, then go and install it in your PC and see if things go better. It might not be the hard drive that's the problem...
