That's the mother board I have. Im using 2 maxtor HD's one is 120gb the other is 80gb. When i plug into the IDE1 port windows XP detects both HD's. 120gb is the master and the 80gb is the slave.

When i plug into the IDE3 port it only finds the 120gb hard drive (the master) What must I do to use both hard drives in XP on this port?

I hate to tell you this, but typically with these Promise RAID controllers, the company using them tends to only have it function as a RAID controller. In RAID mode, you can only use 1 hard drive (which is a good thing for performance reasons). I don't know the board, but in the past, AOpen has only setup the Promise controller to be in RAID mode. Check the motherboard's BIOS to see if there is an option to let the controller act as an extra IDE controller, non-RAID. If not, you're simply not going to be able to use a 2nd hard drive on that IDE port. IDE1 and 2 will still perform that function, however.
