I recently posted a question about how to network 2 pc's (thanks to all those who replied :good: )
I am now wondering how I should go about sharing my ADSL broadband connection between those two computers.
Ive heard lots of people talk about wireless routers (although must admit that im not exactly sure what one is  ) but would like to avoid wireless technology.

You still want a router, but it doesn't need to be wireless. If you've got an old PC with a couple of NICs in it, there ya go. Use Smoothwall or IPCop. The other option would be to buy a router too.

Could you be a bit more specific, like how the router connects to the network and what cables are needed plus what plugs into what? that sort of thing.
