Laptop help

    hi i know its been a while since ive been on but i have a problem with a laptop im fixing it ran fine until windows xp was reinstalled and now it wont stop running slow although all the correct drivers are installed and sp2 and i have done various hardware checks. hope u can help

    Check how many processes are running and which one is eating lot of your system... And close all the unnecessory applications

    hi thanks for youre reply buts it a fresh install of windows surly only the neccarcery precesses are running?

    Did you install it from a recovery CD? Coz most of the times a recovery CD comes with lots of usless stuff.

    HI again no i installed it straight from a normal xp professional disk

    I'm not quite sure what to suggest here...hmm maybe go though a windows update, there might be a update/fix which might help? I think quite possibly there might be driver compatibility issues?

    Then again it could be something very simple :) keep us updated dude.
