Hi all, I have been without a PC for 3 weeks now, and I am getting pretty p***ed off about sharing the family PC. My Sumvision 500Watt 17A PSu finally failed after 3 years of use.

I have the money now, for a new PSu. I just read the PSu sticky, and thankfully to B, I was just about to order an enermax liberty series, phew, saved there.

Anyway, I also read that the thermaltake toughpower are decent for my kind of setup. A 600Watts one too.

Heres what I have copy n pasted from the place I am going to order it from:

    --------------------------------------------------------------

Thermaltake W0103RB 600W ToughPower Black PSU
    Complies with ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V version

Independent Voltage Circuit: offers unflappable current delivery under heavy load and makes voltage output more stable
Active Power Factor Correction (PF>0.99) and high efficiency (up to 85%)
Extremely good voltage regulation (±3%): provides steady voltage for system
Industrial grade components (capacitor, transformer, etc)
    High reliability: MTBF>120,000 hours
Mirror effect housing and reliable 14cm ball-bearing fan
Protections: Over Current, Over Voltage, and Short-Circuit protection
Safety / EMI Approvals: CE, CB, TUV, FCC, UL, CUL, and BSMI certified
    5.25" Device Power 7 + 6 SATA

Just for reference, heres the link to where I am buying it:
    Eclipse Computers - Product Details

    --------------------------------------------------------------

It is at the top of my budget including P&P, It is also going to be powering a reasonably powerful system, like this -

    Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Socket 939 (Maybe a little overclocking)
ePoX 9NDA3I nFORCE 3 board with AGP
    4 Sticks of DDR RAM
ATi Radeon X1950 Pro in AGP form from saphire 4 Pin PCI E required
Creative X-fi Music XTREME PCI sound card
PCI Network Card 100Mb from Genius
3 Optical drives (2 DVD RW and a DVD ROM)
    2 Hard drives - SATA2 320GB, 80GB IDE
Floppy drive and 3.5" Card reader
Less than 6 Case fans all blue LED ones
about 8 USB devices connected at 1 time

Any suggestions on whether the Thermaltake Toughpower 600W is enough?

The Toughpower's seem to be pretty good. I need to add them to the list, as that line is set for today's power balances.

So it will be good enough for the above system?
