New 3d card

    In have a savage 3d card that is built it the motherboard.

    i bought a new gfroce card.

    how do i have to install the new one, and what changes i have to make in bios or anywhere?

    Look in your BIOS to see if there's an option to disable the on-board graphics. If not, check to see if the first VGA device (may be slightly different name) is set to AGP (assuming you have an AGP card). After that, put in the new card and see what happens. You should have video on the new card.
    You also may not have to do anything, as the on-board graphics may disable itself when using a different video card.

    If you run into trouble, drop by again and give us the low-down on your specs:D

    first, sorry about posting double.
    second, my board is a pc400 systemboard, with the via vt8751
    and my bios is ami bios.

    in the bios i see no option to change it.

    what if i disable my current video card though device mnjr, i use xp pro.

    haved you installed the card though? Or are you having problems!, XP should detect it and ask for the drivers...
