    I have sound now.

But as soon as installed the PCI sound card, the PC started-up. I thought that I accidently hit the start button, but my knee was no where close to it.

Now my one button shut down will not shut-down the PC like it used to. In fact, after it says that the PC is shutting down (windows) the screen goes black (like it's suppose to) then the PC kicks back up. Couldn't be a short cause I insulated the sound card with plastic hard plastic sheet, cause it was so close to the video card fan. The sound card sitting in the PCI slot is like 2 fingers shy of filling it up. (short card)

Anyone hear of this happing? Not wanting to shut down or while installing the card the system starts up?

Remove the sound card, and try it in another slot...If it still does it, then remove the sound card and see if it goes back like it was.. If the computer works fine again without the sound, then that sound card is no good.. Probably has an open circuit some where..
