I came across this random article...where different benchmark video links showcase that GTX 1080 is the fastest GPU ever. But is the scenario gonna change? I am upgrading my system to support 4K UHD graphics, and I badly need a good 4k card? Do you think I should wait till 1080ti comes out? Or should I opt for the upcoming Polaris and Vega cards instead? I have $700 dollars right now in my pocket to spend on a GPU...please enlighten me what to do...plus am in a rush!!!

These are just first 14/16nm GPU's, and die size is quite small. So better ones with HBM2 memory will surely come.

There isn't currently any information about 1080 Ti. Polaris is not aiming high end but Vega is. Vega should contain HBM2. Nvidia's plans about using HBM2 on consumer graphics are currently unknown.

Because 1080 is quite small and HBM2 is not used, waiting for some time mean much better cards for sure.
