    Hi
I have recently bought logitech x-530 5.1 speakers. With all the wires at place, I still don't get sound from either the front center speaker or the left and right rear speakers.
I did change the option in the "sound and audio devices" section on the control panel to 5.1 suround, and also downloaded Vinyl Audio Codec, but didn't figure out what to do next.
My audio card is VIA Vinyl AC'97 (Wave).
    How do I solve this?

    Welcome to HWF :)

Do you have the same problem when playing 'real' 5.1 audio, like a DVD? And does the Vinyl codec have any configuration panel included in either the Start Menu, System Tray or Control Panel?

Yeah make sure you are playing a full 5.1 track as many sound cards have to have some sort of 'speaker fill' setting enabled in order to utilise all the speakers.

If you are having codec issues download the k-lite codec pack - i've used it for years and never not been able to open any sort of media :) - Plus the audio filter has a dolby surround processor so you could enable speaker fill there too :)

    Best of luck

    Download K-Lite Codec Pack
