Hey guys, this might not be the most appropriate place to post as it's really a software problem, but I thought I'd see if anybody could help me anyway.

Basically when I play old games on my PC (example: tie fighter) I can get the sound to work, although it is often a little distorted, but the music won't play at all. This is a shame for me cos I love the music It uses MIDI to play. When I go to the sound card setup obviously my sound blaster live isn't listed there, and none of the others will work.

I did actually get it to work once under 'general MIDI' and setting the tie fighter program to run under win95 compatibility mode, but every time I've tried since the loading screen freezes and I have to set the music sound card to 'none' for it to work.

Any ideas what I can do? Thanks!
