    Hi,
This morning,my pc would't turn on.I tried various plugs and they all worked fine,so i opened up my pc,as i suspected a broken PSU. However first,i checked the wires, one was loose. It seems to be coming out of the hard drive,it is black with a small white box at the top. So where does it go? i could't find the slot.
    Thanks

The hard drive power lead has red/black and yellow..It will have 4 pins,
Is this what you see? If the computer just won't turn on at all,and nothing lights up,then it is your power supply. If you are talking about a wire on top of the hard drive that came off , then you have some problems. Most hard drives
are sealed,But not all,and i have seen one of those wires comming apart.

Does the computer work without it ? I don't think that plugin is used. Thats if
it is a 6 pin.. I see that it goes to your power supply.. This is a newer power supply, And allot of newer power supplys has extra plug ends,, This 6 pin you
are talking about,It does go to the power supply right. If so then unplug it and try to start computer without it.

It's either a SATA power connector or an alternate auxillary power connector.
