I just got a new pc in the past couple of days and Ive just noticed that when I open a program my pc makes strange high pitch noise(not very loud). When I close the program and return to my desktop the sound stops. The fact I cant tell whats making the noise is driving me nuts lol. Ive had the case open to have a listen, but all i can tell is its maybe coming from the processor or around that area. Does anybody have any idea as to what could be making the sound?
Its probably your CPU fan increasing its speed to keep the CPU cool, and when your CPU is idle it slows down to reduce noise.
