I'm planning to gut my computer and upgrade it.

    Here are the specs:

Motherboard: Newegg.com - BIOSTAR TF560 A2+ Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 560 MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

Video Card: Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100186L Radeon X1950XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

Power Supply: Newegg.com - LOGISYS Computer PS575XBK ATX12V 575W Power Supply 100-120V/ 200-240V cUL, FCC, CB, CE, CSA

    Processor: Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor

    RAM: Newegg.com - SUPER TALENT 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory

    Total Cost: $526.95

    I want to know:
    1) Will this work?
    2) Could I lower the cost without lowering the performance greatly or at all?
    3) Could I add more power without raising the cost a lot or at all?

    probably not, see specifics below
    i don't know
a better PSU look @ B's PSU Sticky & look for a different motherboard
probably not, this mobo does not always support the standard stock AM2 cooler

    i see no problems

i personally have never heard of LOGISYS so i can't recommend it, plus it only has 1 12V rail, most decent PSUs have at least 2 rails, personally i'd recommend an Antec TP Trio (what i have)
    i see no problems
