hi all thanks for looking being new to computing (about a year) i have now networked mine and the kids puters,but my problem is......... .........what software do i need to see what they are doing online,offline or just messing...i want to see exactly what they see (on there monitor)from my puter downstairs without there knowledge..big brother yes but i want to give them the feeling of freedom while i can keep hold on there safety caprinut
hmmm, I've tried quite a few ages ago but can't remember any freeware, have a look at this http://www.softactivity.com/spy-software.asp it does cost but does what you want I think.

I'd reccomend Codename Alvin, howver you'll probably run into the same problem most of these apps seem to have with Spyware and AntiVirus programs detecting them. This programs nice since if you just want a genral idea of what they are doing you can log the sites they visit and even key strokes. If you do find them getting into trouble than you can activate the screen capture feature and catch them in the act .
