I agree with Jim. The only other thing i can suggest is to; Just make sure that you have disabled the on-board graphics (via the jumper) because when i changed my jumper it was not engaged on the board properly, and it gave me a similar problem Hope This Helps

I think this may be due to the type of file that you have used as your desktop background, I think that the transparent feature of windows is only compatible with certain types of file, try a differnet type of wallpaper e.g. a bitmap(.bmp) Hope this Helps
