im reinstalling windows and i was wondering if c: should read as a partition (NTFS)? and what would happen if i deleted the partition would it become un partitioned space i ask this cause i have intalled windows twice on my comp and each time ive gotten a boot problem. my computer will boot up the first couple of times then not fully boot getting stuck at the windows screen where that little blue bars scrolls across the screen.
You can delete C drive while installing windows and create that drive again. Also, if you have unalocated space you can always allocate it from Disk Manager(RightClickMyComputer > Manage > Disk Management).
I would say that Disk Management would be easy to you. By the way after the first installation what happened, same thing?
I think you don't have copied same installation file twice. I mean that the time system ask twice to "press any key to boot from cd", and you don't want to do it second time. Have you done it? If so it could be corrupt the registry at all.
ok i think ive noticed something it only seems to stop booting after i try to install the drivers off the cd the ones that came with the motherboard my asus m2n sli deluxe could this be a problem. im at work now but ill go home remove drivers and try boot. see what happens but could this be the problem??
if you have installed the new o.s on the old one and deleted the old os after it won't boot because it can't find boot.ini file format the pc again by booting from the cd and install windows on c and before that delete the new o.s you have installed too
