    Change is inevitable!
I wont complain about the absence of start button as the option of customizing is there.
Might need a touchscreen monitor, how much do they cost?

Good luck with a Touch Screen, you will have to dish out between $500.00 to $700.00 for a good one..

If you want a start button under your desktop, take a look at ViStart... it works pretty good..

Ghostman, can you rate your experience in Win 8? Does it have any bugs or errors in any applications (photoshop, code blocks, netbeans, skype, daemon tools, games, etc2..) How large is the Windows system folder?

Well, it is not too bad so far, I don't like the Metro interface, They really messed it up by not installing the start button under the desktop... And If you don't have a touch screen and you are offline none of the Metro apps will work... I am still testing it as for as Photoshop and other programs go...I really don't think it will be here long, Since
Microsoft has already started on Windows 9... In my Opinion, I will stick with Windows 7, It is just a better all around OS...

So, this didn't happen in Windows 7 ? either remove Windows 8, and put back Windows 7 or try using s USB keyboard to see if that might work..

Try another copy of windows 8, Maybe your copy got corrupted some how.. Windows 8 will not be around long, Since Microsoft Is already building Windows 9...
I would just Go with Windows 7 , It is a way better OS than windows 8..

Try installing that OS on another computer or laptop, you might want to use dual boot just to test an OS installer.

Win 8 is much better, I tested 7 and 8 on main pc with ssd and on netbook.
I have smoother experience on main PC with win8, and freed of lags on netbook.
