mouse not detected

    Hi,

    Recently my computer developed a problem. One day it gave me an error, windows cannot find mouse. I checked my connection on com1, which was ok. I thought mouse has developed problem. so I went for a new ps2 mouse. Initially it was ok but second time when i started the computer it gave me same error. then again on second day it detected and again next time same error. I am unable to understand the problem. It doesn't works even in dos. Please help.

    Heres a common problem. Dust in the PS ports. Take out everything from them. Turn off your computer, turn it around, Block your nose, close your eyes, and BLOW as hard as you possible can, then take a cotton swab, and 70%+ USP ISPOPYL rubbing alcohol, and rub the mouse connector. if all else fails, buy a can of super suter, it'll blow out ALL the stuff in there, no matter whats in it. If thus fails, get a PS2>USB 1.2/2.0 Connector. They run for about 3$ and if your really in dire need, i'll send you one for free.
