I have to deal with dial-up for a week, but then 1.5M DSL connection. If I'm correct, this is close to T1-line territory. Weather we'll get that speed all the time is doubtful, but it'll be a boost from our 256k DSL connection. I also get a new e-mail addy, which is nice considering the barrage of spam I'm getting currently

Your extra high DSL meets up to my simple Cable connection. DSL Sucks IMO. Its cheaper, crappier, and the only good thing is upload speeds. Go here, tell em what your scroe is and we'll compare :)

I check it out once we get the hook up. It's tough when you have to deal with dial up. I'm currently at the college I attend since I can't stand the disconnects and slowness.

yep I have dsl and if I compare the numbers with cable, cable is better and cheaper. The good thing about dsl though (bell sympatico here) is that you have a dedicated bandwith, so you have the same bandwith no matter how many people are connected. This is not the case with cable.

EDIT: my score is 387.5 kb/s , my bandwith is splitted though as we have a small network. I'm also a bit too far from the central.
