    AGP Texture Acceleration Problem

There are 2 things you can check. Hit Start, run, then type DXdiag Go into the display tab, and make sure all your DX features are enabled. you might need to click them off, then back on, to toggle them. If that is a no go, go into your display properties, under the troubleshooting...

    Quick question

Yeah, I found that out. She told me her dad built the system, so I thought 'Generic Clone', but I was wrong. It was the weirdest HP system I have ever seen, about as non standard as you can possibly get.

    Heat sinks...

Big B, I hear ya. I need a efficient heatsink combo, but I can't handle the Jet Engine running at Idle in my apartment. Just try to stick with a good copper heatsink, and the plus for Athalons and P4's is the heatsink is a pretty standard squarish thing. Try to stay away from the oval...

    NIC problem

Have you tried running the network setup wizard? It will ask if your machine is attached to another machine to access the internet. Which is the one you should choose, if you are not using a broadband router. Even after doing that, you still need to run the internet connection wizard, to gain...

    ide slots

That depends on your particular board. Look in the bios settings where you enable the onboard raid, and see if you can choose RAID, or ATA/100,133 when you enable it. I have not owned a board that had a Highpoint controller that you could use as standard ATA (non RAID). I could be wrong here...

    Jerky Graphics

Have you run a refresh rate fix program for the brand of video card you use? The reason I ask, is because windows 2000, and XP have a problem with DirectX being stuck at 60Hz, no matter what you set your desktop to. I had very slight (but annoying) stuttering in 3DMark and other D3D apps...
