I turned on my pc this morning to be greeted by it turning itself off and on 4 times before it got to the bios stage. After the 4th time it went to bios with the message 'warning, previous attempt of overclocking has failed, revert back to previous stable state' blah blah. Now i actually...

Need Advice for new computer parts

If you wanna be flash and/or pose to your mates, have a large bank balance then get a high end mobo and DDR3. If on the other hand you are a mere mortal like the rest of us then just go for DDR2 800 on a P35 board.

    Limit bandwidth on a computer

Maybe, just maybe Swansen, we have the same brother. My bro again is constantly on download servers. Does my head in, really gets my lag up on online games. The best thing is he completely denies it and blames it on the provider. Strange how it never happens when he's not here.

Can san andreas run on this??

If only everything was that simple. There are other factors involved such as memory and cpu. Then there is the parallel universe where games just don't wanna work at all for no apparent reason. ( i had this trouble with GTA3 and Vice City).

Need Advice for new computer parts

Well this months copy of Custom PC had a review of the Asus 8800GT. Running 'World in Conflict' on a reasonable resolution 1280 x 1024 on vista it came in at 14fps. Compare that with running in the same res on XP it came in at 37fps. So for lag free gaming id go for XP.

Need Advice for new computer parts

Personally i'd go with the EVGA 8800gt, maybe slightly biased as i have one. DX10 is for Vista, though the current gen or 8800 cards seem to have problems with frame rate when run with Vista. Ive shunned Vista and stuck with old mostly reliable XP. The frame rates are amazing. At the...

Very cool!!! in both meanings. Im able to play all those top games at max settings and the temp doesn't even hit 50 degrees. nice fps as well. i have loads of case fans around the graphics card. The only issue is that at 10inches long it does kinda take up alot of space.

Justification and Validation: The Increase in the Influx of High Priced Games...

Back in the early nineties the games price went sky high. £50 quid odd for one game. There was then some sort of legal proceedings and the games were given a ceiling price which could not be breached. We then had an era of relatively cheap games. With the release of the new next gen consoles...

Unexpectedly i now have all the pieces to my new computer puzzle. The final piece is on its way after winning the item on Ebay. Better than the MSI 8800GT as well. EVGA GeForce 8800GT KO SuperClocked Edition 8800 GT on eBay, also Graphics Video Cards, Graphics, Video TV Cards, Desktop PC...

    Is my PSU enough?

I don't think it's a psu issue. 850w is more than enough to run your system. I'd be inclined to think it is a ram problem. Im sure ive read about this problem, when you fill all the ram slots on a mobo, quite recently. Now where did i read it :( I can't find the original article that i...

England fail to qualify for Euros

Lampard is like Ian wright - An amazing footballer but always rubbish for England. As for David Beckham; tbh i like to see him in the team. He always wants to do well and is one of the few players who look like they actually want to play for England. Ditch Owen & Rooney. The best in England...
