AMD64 decrease in price?

after posting the bargain, I found this info!

Email from AMD:

We would like to inform you that on Monday, July 26th, 2004, prices will decrease for

ALL AMD Athlon™ 64 processors, from model numbers 2800+ up to 3800+.
Please note that AMD Athlon 64 FX processors will not be affected by this price move.

In addition, on Monday 9th August, prices will increase for

AMD Athlon XP processors, from model numbers 2800+ up to 3200+.
There’s never been a better time to move to AMD64 processors;
step into the future…

well i'm not going to be buying a new motherboard / ecc ram and processor anytime soon, so amd can have 1 less customer for their 64bit range.

It's very tempting but I think I'll get one of the newer 64s (on the new socket) when I decide to upgrade.

Next thing I'm buying is a monitor though so it won't be as soon as I'd want.

The monitor is a Mitsubishi Diamond Pro 930SB Black btw.
