This is maybe a stupid question, but have not been able to find answer on Google so...will an IDE DVD burner copy DVDs/CDs to a SATA DVD burner? Also, is an IDE hard disk drive required for an IDE DVD burner?

IDE DVD Burners can be used on SATA HDDs..
You can have as many DVD/Blue-ray Drives as long as you have the cables and enough power supply to power your computer.
