I currently have a Radeon HD 5770 in my computer, which gives me 3 monitors. I love my setup, but I also have a fourth monitor in my attic. It would be perfect to use for monitoring my temps, CPU usage, and which song is playing in the background on media player without interuping my eyefiniy group. I dont want to spend the money for another 5770, but I do want to attach that fourth monitor, so at this point, I have two choices- a cheap ($35) radeon 4000 series, or a $60 external USB. I would rather go with the radeon 4000, because it's more powerful, but doesn't cost as much. All I'm asking is can I simply run a second video card along with my primary without crossfire? I'm running Win7 64bit and some MSI motherboard ( I don't remember which). Has anybody done this before? Post pics.

I considered a video switch, but they're still more expensive than a small, cheap video card.
