Best router for around $50.

Anyone know a really good router I can get for about $50 or so? This is a little tenitive but my Dad is going to visit the facility that offers wireless internet to see if it's available where I live. I'm thinking it is becuase there's a place right near ours that has really fast internet and I saw routers and networking there so I suspect they may have what we're looking for. Anyway, preferably 80.11g or whatever it's called would be nice if that's possible. Anything else I should look for? Do I need networking cards? Thanks all.
 
Well I have a Linksys B/G router, WRT-54G. I had a Linksys wireless card but thats a long story. Now I have a D-Link Speed Booster card. But yea, you need cards for all your computers, except the one that is hard wired to the router.
 
Well we only have two computers so it shouldn't be any big deal, it turns out that they offer some sort of router from the place we'd be buying from so that might simplify things right there. I'll keep your suggestions in mind though:good:.
 
Are you talking about your ISP? Because some ISP's offer wireless service which means for an installation fee and a monthly fee you get a wireless router and NIC cards. The thing with this is, I have found it is waaaaaaay moreeconomical to get your own router and cards. And then you have them forever so theres no monthly fee.
 
No I don't think that our ISP covers this, we're getting a new one, whatever that will be, but I'm pretty sure this is just a "mom and pop" wireless service (doesn't even have a website:x:) but we known it's good because we've gotten first hand accounts:good: The wireless serive is the one that offers the routers so might want to play it safe and get those so long as they're 802.11g, there's not monthly fee for those.
