Colour portion gets deleted while printing

Hi

For some reason, the printer isnt outputting any colour.
The colour portion gets deleted - not grayed. I tried printing in gray-scale mode with best clarity - even then the colour portion doesnt show.
The colour cartidge is almost full - I've hardly used any colour.

Printer: HP OfficeJet 4255 AIO

Any idea whats wrong ?

Check the print heads, make sure there's nothing obstructing them (plastic seals etc).

Does the test page print properly?

Try plugging the printer into another computer and installing the drivers and software, if it works fine the problem is on your computer! (and the printer is fine)

Check the print heads, make sure there's nothing obstructing them (plastic seals etc). Im pretty bad at h/w - afraid something will break on opening it.
Does the test page print properly? It does - prints a small (200x200 ?) picture of 2 pears - but all in black-and-white !

ok, what happens when you plug it into a different computer?
